Rumores sobre la compra de PRIDE

Desde temprano el dia de hoy se han estado propagando rumores en muchas paginas como MMAWeekly, MMA Universe, FightOpinion y Sherdog, sobre la adquisicion de PRIDE por parte de UFC (Zuffa LLC). Se dice que la compra fue por US$ 64 millones, tambien se ha dicho que no se ha completado la transaccion sino que se trata de un acuerdo para la futura compra.

Se sabe que el presidente de PRIDE Nobuyuki Sakakibara viajara a Las Vegas esta semana y mucha gente lo atribuye a que es para concretar la operacion, yo creo que mas bien este viaje tiene que ver con el asunto de Ed Fishman ya que en estos dias van a presentar la demanda en contra de PRIDE por incumplimiento de contrato.

Parece que el rumor surgio en los foros de Sherdog y ha crecido tanto que ha llegado a los principales sitios sobre MMA, me parece descabellado que la gente este creyendo esto ya que hasta el momento se ha dicho mucho, pero nadie ha confirmado ninguna fuente creible.

In an exclusive interview, Pride USA Vice President, Jerry Millen, commented on the speculation that Pride has been bought by the Zuffa organization.

“It’s bullshit. You can’t believe what you read on the internet and as a matter of fact I just got off the phone with Japan and Pride has not been sold and is not being sold to anyone, especially to Zuffa. We are in the process of making some ground breaking deals that will be bringing in large sums of revenue to the company and making it stronger than ever.”
